UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a decree to appoint his eldest son Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as well as head of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the key authority of the emirate.
The UAE leader appointed his brothers, Tahnoon bin Zayed, who is also national security adviser to the president and chairman of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and ADQ Holding, and Hazza bin Zayed, deputy chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, as deputy emirate rulers.
Besides, the UAE will have a new vice president, Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to hold this position along with the UAE prime minister and Dubai ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who previously held the post alone.
