InterNations polled 11,970 foreigners in 181 countries on life as an expatriate. The quality of life was evaluated on four categories: housing, language, digital life, and administrative issues.
As per InterNations, the Emirates ranked first for the ease of obtaining a resident visa and third for the availability of online administrative services and high-speed Internet at home.
Respondents also noted housing affordability in the UAE (38%), opportunity to live comfortably without speaking the local language (85%) and ease of communicating with local administration (61%).
Besides the UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are among the top ten countries in the world for expatriates. Bahrain took the leading position in the rating.
