According to the World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law 2023 report, the UAE is the leading country in the MENA region in providing women with equal opportunities for entrepreneurship.
The UAE received a full score in five of the report’s eight key indicators, including Mobility, Workplace, Pay, Entrepreneurship, and Pension. H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council (GBC), noted that the UAE serves as a global model in women’s empowerment.
Today, more than 25,000 Emirati women own companies in various sectors with a capitalization of over $ 16 billion.
At the same time, 80% of enterprises are headed by women under the age of 40.
