At the meeting Sergei Kolushev related the story of the Russian Pavilion creation. Russian theme at EXPO-2020 is stated as Creative Mind: Driving the Future. The Russian Pavilion is intended not only to demonstrate the scientific and cultural achievements of the past eras but also to reveal how a creative mind can design future in the best interests of humanity.
The Pavilion of Russia is a dome, with its outer shell consisting of loads of intertwined multicolored tubes as threads. This mixture of bright colours and a constant change of direction symbolize a never-ending process of cognition and a dramatically rapid speed of progress. The architect of the Pavilion is Sergei Choban (SPEECH bureau).
The inner exposition is devoted to the theme of Russia’s participation at EXPO-2020. Creativity is a major ability of a human brain. The focus of the exposition is a human brain itself as the most sophisticated phenomenon of life. The exposition is entitled The Mechanics of Wonder. It is a breathtaking story of the brain structure, its operating principles, and the birth of consciousness as the result. The heart of the exposition is a multimedia show, a great kinetic sculpture of a human brain accompanied by projections. The author of the concept of The Mechanics of Wonder is Konstantin Petrov (Simpateka Entertainment Group).
At the meeting, Sergei Kolushev invited the members of Business Russia to the EXPO-2020 business projects as well. Over 60 events will be held in the Russian Pavilion within 6 months.
