On January 15, an internship for students of the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation started in the United Arab Emirates. A large-scale international educational project is being implemented with the support of Maksim Zagornov, Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE.
A two–week foreign internship within the framework of the experimental module of additional education named Russia - UAE: fundamentals of professional activity in Arab countries started on January 15.
It will be attended by 18 students of IPACS RANEPA – the best students of 2-4 years of the faculties of Public and Municipal Administration, the Faculty of Economics, the Higher School of Law, International Regional Studies and Regional Management.
The internship will take place in branches of Russian companies located in the UAE (in Dubai and Abu Dhabi), as well as in a number of government and business organizations: the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the UAE, the Russian Pavilion at Expo City Dubai (WEB.RF). In addition, several RANEPA students were accepted for internships by Emirati structures: the largest legal and trading companies in Abu Dhabi, as well as the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) free economic Zone.
With the assistance of Maksim Zagornov, Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE we succeeded to reach an agreement with Russian and Emirati structures on the admission of RANEPA students. This will be the first internship for students of the Presidential Academy in the Emirates – before that, foreign internships were held in European countries.
"Today, the Emirates is open not only to business cooperation with Russia, but also to cooperation in the field of science and higher education.
Both countries are interested in the exchange of students, in the implementation of joint educational and business programs. We are glad that several Russian and Emirati companies and organizations have responded to our offer to accept students for an internship. I am sure that these two weeks will enrich the guys with new knowledge, practical skills and useful contacts," said Maksim Zagornov, Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE.
The internship in the UAE was preceded by a theoretical course: students attended lectures on regional studies, political and state structure, modern development strategies of the UAE, Islamic economics and finance, taxation, the legal system, and the rules of doing business in the UAE.
"We are confident in each of our students – they are well-trained and motivated guys who are ready to work and further professional development abroad. All students not only received high-quality theoretical training, but also brilliantly presented their final projects at the end of their studies. We thank the strategic partner of the project – the team of the business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE - for giving students the opportunity to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practice in reputable companies and organizations in the UAE," said Shivlet Tagirova, Deputy Director of the Center for Experimental Educational Programs of IPACS RANEPA.
Upon completion of the internship, on January 28, students of the Presidential Academy will receive certificates from Business Russia.
