Gulfood 2023, the 28th International Exhibition of Food, Beverages, Equipment for the Hotel and Restaurant Business and Cooking of the Persian Gulf countries, has opened in Dubai.
This year, one of the most influential exhibitions in the food industry has brought together a record number of participants. Over 5,000 companies from 125 countries have exhibited at Gulfood 2023, which is 30% more than in previous years.
Seventy-five Russian companies, including major producers of grain, oil and meat, as well as young foodtech companies producing plant-based meat, premium chocolate, healthy desserts, etc., have presented their products at the collective stand "Made in Russia" supported by the Russian Export Center.
The data, announced by Statista at Gulfood 2023, says that the food and beverage (F&B) market in the UAE currently generates around $38 billion in revenue. The F&B market is projected to grow at a rate of 4.39% per annum until 2027.
The key determining factors include a strategic location of the UAE, a multinational population with varied food traditions, a rapidly developing tourism sector, steady flows of investment in the infrastructure of the F&B market.
Gulfood 2023 is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center (DIFC) and will last until February 24.
