Business Russia and the UAE Embassy Agree to Expand Cooperation

On January 20, a meeting was held in Moscow between Maxim Zagornov, a member of the General Council and Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE, and Saeed Algfeli, Head of the Economic and Trade Department of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Russian and Emirati companies, opportunities for implementing innovative export projects by members of the business association, as well as support measures for these projects to be provided by the UAE Embassy in Russia.

“We plan to strengthen cooperation along the small and medium-sized enterprise track. We hope that 2026 will become a year of active cooperation between the Embassy and Business Russia,” Saeed Algfeli emphasized.

He also noted that there is currently strong interest from Emirati companies in entering the Russian market and expressed hope for organizational support from Business Russia.

In turn, Maxim Zagornov spoke about the key needs of Russian businesses and presented several projects by Business Russia companies aimed at strengthening cooperation with the UAE in the high-tech sector.

“Business Russia companies have experience in implementing innovative projects across many industries and technologies. Therefore, the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects represent significant potential for expanding economic cooperation between our countries,” Maxim Zagornov noted.

The parties also discussed preparations for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will take place this year from June 3 to June 6.
