According to the research, the Emirates have the lowest risk of food shortages among 56 countries in the Middle East and Africa.
The top five also included Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
Switzerland topped the overall sovereign rating, followed by Denmark and Singapore (top three).
In 2018, the UAE authorities adopted the National Food Strategy to 2051, according to which the UAE shall buy food from different regions of the world, from South America to South Asia.
